Cruises on the Odra river

A cold and wet day like this is not the best one to promote cruises but we all hope that it's going to be sunny soon, don't we?

A cruise on the Odra river is definitely recommended for anyone staying in Wrocław in the summertime.

The harbours for the boats are situated around Piasek island (the one with churches). (To get there by the public transport you should get off at either "Hala Targowa" or "Plac Bema" stop)

You can go either west (not far, to be honest) with a small ship and see the city centre and the island or go east, into the wild.
And east mean as far east as you probably never been in Wrocław, with a gas pipeline going over the river as a final destination. There are nice views from the ship on the Ostrów Tumski, Museum and the bridges and finally green areas on the Odra banks. Getting off at the Zoo stop is also possible. If you want some chill-out after a party or to bask in the sun after a busy workweek, this is just perfect.

I already did a cruise with my parents, a cruise with my sister and an organized cruise with my colleagues (yes, you can rent a ship for a party!).
